Noone Else video for Youtube LifeInADay project

Here is a video for the new version Noone Else on the forthcoming Bard For Life album!

Single Available from iTunes (and now with added Amazon!), released September 2010. More stores coming soon

You may not have the time and money
To get psychiatric help
But you can get on to the online stores
And buy Noone Else!

All the footage was shot on 24th July 2010 so it could be eligible for the Life In A Day project run on youtube.

Luckily we were on our way to the wedding of ex-Karmadillo member Kate Newells wedding in Wales which happened on that day, so we could take advantage of some great scenery for the video. The first half of the video was a really nice hotel in Chester we were staying in and then the lovely Welsh countryside near Bets-y-Coed where the wedding was taking place to provide a gorgeous backdrop to the finale.

Less than a month after being voted Cambridge’s Favourite Busker at the Cambridge Busking Festival 2010 and being acknowledged as one of cities most entertaining and popular music acts, Karmadillo will be taking to the streets of Cambridge once again. This time all the public contributions will be going towards cancer research as the busking will be part of a Busking Cancer – a national week of busking – raising money for Cancer Research UK.

After another performance in a Marquee at Cambridge’s Big Day Out Festival last weekend, the singer with Karmadillo, Rishi said

“Its been a busy month with festivals and preparing an album for launch next month, but having lost a number of family members and friends to the Big C, raising money towards the research for cancer cures is something I am very keen to support, and have supported many times in the past. Luckily the people of Cambridge find what Karmadillo do entertaining and I hope I can put this to good use and will find it reflected in donations when I am out on the streets in Cambridge once again this month.”

Karmadillo will be out and about in Cambridge on Saturday 17th, Sunday 18th and Friday 23rd July raising money for Cancer Research UK. They will be releasing a new album ‘Bard For Life’ in August 2010.

Karmadillo – Cambridge Busking Festival Winner 2010

So in the midst of a day of migraine pain on Wednesday I had a call from Heather at the council who organised the Busking Festival we played at last week. Karmadillo were voted by the audience as their favourite act of the Festival! That was great news, and I bounced around for at least five minutes before going back to holding my head going ‘Ow Ow Ow’. Thanks to all who voted! Your support was great and appreciated greatly.

You can read the full tale of my days out at the busking festival. I’m also busking later on this month raising money for Cancer research as part of the big busk for cancer. This is happening between 17th – 25th July 2010 – I’ll put more information about it up here next week when I’ve figured out what I’m doing.

Half the material is unreleased and the other songs are being given a remixing and mastering treatment and are sounding much better for it! Artwork is getting the treatment from Miss Roberts who came up with the original Snout mascot and is something really special!

Lancashire Hotpots / May 29th Gig cancelled

I was sorry to hear that the drummer with the Lancashire Hotpots passed away last week. From what I’ve read he was quite a cool character and its a shame I’ll never get to meet him. I’ll make do with the tributes and photo of him in a red neckerchief on the myspace page. I’ve been in touch with the band and passed on my condolences. They have said they will gig again though so I’m sure they will pass through Cambridge at some point.

John Otway support slot announced!
